Political Sign Regulations for the Town:

With the current political season underway, and heating up for the impending primary and general elections, the Town of Pagosa Springs reminds residents of the regulations governing display of political signs within town boundaries.

  • Political sign are allowed to be up to 6 square feet in size.
  • Signs may be displayed in town starting 45 days prior to an election and must be removed 3 days following the election.
  • Only one sign per candidate per property is allowed, and signs must be located on private property, with in the property owners’ permission.
  • No signs are allowed in the right of way (that area between a property line and a roadway or sidewalk).
  • A sign permit is not required for political signs.
